Kim Simpson-Dailey

President/Founder & Lifetime Board Member

Some say Kim was born with a puppy in hand because she has a lifelong love of canines. Born in the mean streets of Cleveland, Ohio, Kim has always been a strong advocate for animal rights and the prevention of cruelty to animals. Although she has a strong passion and love for all animals, she holds a very special place in her heart for dogs. Kim began her journey to Atlanta, Georgia after obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Notre Dame College of Ohio and then a pit stop along the way, earning a Master’s in Business Administration from Myers University in her home town of Cleveland, following that up with more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Kim founded Healthy Canines Inc. after discovering a common need amongst other pet parents concerning sometimes financially overwhelming veterinary care. One such case involved Kim witnessing a woman surrender her sick pup she adopted a month prior, back to the local shelter because she was unable to afford the accompanying healthcare needs.

Healthy Canines is a labor of love for Kim. Having lost her sweet and precious furbaby of 10 years, Parker, to uncontrollable diabetes and cushing’s disease in 2015. Kim is now a proud pet mom of two adorable Pit Bull rescues, Cleveland and Bronx. When Kim is not working her Corporate job or running the day-to-day operations at Healthy Canines, she enjoys volunteering at one of the local animal shelters, Lifeline Animal Project of Georgia. Kim is committed to making a positive impact in the world, one pup at a time!

Debra Woods

Secretary

Debra has always maintained a ready-set-go attitude and a lifelong love regarding our canine companions with a variety of pet breeds, shapes and sizes under her belt to show for it. Always willing to pass along both experience and wisdom from her canine relationships, Debra has learned the patience and compassion it tasks to embrace and nurture the strong bonds needed for a healthy pup and their families. Having retired after 30 years in the manufacturing industry, Debra brings a much-needed loyalty and passion to Healthy Canines Inc., not very commonly seen these days, and a strong desire to see the best treatment given towards canine care and well-being. A basketball and football enthusiast, Debra is also a voracious reader, and loves getting in an occasional movie.

Keith Dailey

Board Member

No one really knows how the legend started, but most have come to agree that Keith gained his love of canine’s early on in life. Born in Cleveland, Ohio and after serving time in the United States Marine Corps, Keith moved to Atlanta to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from the American Intercontinental University and has worked as a Graphic Designer for over 25 years. Keith’s first rescue as an adult – his beloved, trusted, canine ally and friend of 11 years, Troy, lost his battle to cancer in 2018. He is an advocate for fostering and rescuing dogs and finding them forever loving homes. He prefers that route versus the traditional with the philosophy “Pups and dogs for sale seem to always find homes, how many shelter dogs can say that?”

Keith is married to a fabulous and passionate wife, has three children and two rescue dogs, one with a disability (missing his right eye) and one with severe allergies. Keith understands the need for services being provided by Healthy Canines. In his spare time, Keith appreciates the arts, geeking out with comic books, trying his hand at photography and enjoying the movie-going experience.
